RIP Grandma Thatcher

BRANDON, Fla. “” Rita Christina Thatcher, 88, died in Brandon, Florida on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. She was born on April 27, 1918 in New Bavaria, Ohio to the late John and Ida (Eiden) Rothman. On November 28, 1936, she married Ronald Isaac Thatcher and he survives at Assisted Living, Park Club of Brandon, Brandon, Florida 33511. They celebrated their 70th anniversary in 2006. Also surviving are her sons, Ronald (Terri), Santa Maria, CA; William, Holland, OH; Bryan (Susan), Valrico, FL and daughters, Kay (Richard) Pickens, Deshler, OH and Diane (Leo) Brubaker, Naples, FL. Also surviving her are 27 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Theresa Snyder; a granddaughter, Denise Pickens; and four great-grandchildren, Michael, Danielle, David and Steven Dachenhaus. Her brothers, Floyd, Leroy, Elmer, Norman and Claude and her sisters, Nina Reed, Esther Gallagher, Marie Collins, Bernice Lammers and Cecilia Marchal also predeceased her. She was a lifelong resident of Deshler and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar-Rosary Society and served on numerous committees. She was also a member of the Alladin Club and the Bavarian Haus Club. The Serenity Meadows Funeral Home in Brandon, FL was in charge of arrangements there. Visitation will be held at the Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m., where the rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Deshler on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Paul Fahrbach officiating and burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Masses, The Eucharistic Apostles of Divine Mercy or Deshler EMS. Online condolences can be made at: www.rodenbergerfuneralhome.com.

New feature - “Recently Uploaded”
Last night I got done adding a new box to the sidebar (on the right, dummy) which automatically displays the most recently uploaded pictures in my “PPC 6700″ photo album. These are just random shots that I’ve been taking with my cell phone… which I’ve been doing quite a bit of lately. I spent many hours working on this new feature, so if you have an opinion please feel free to share it. I still have a lot of work to do, but at this point I’m pretty happy with the way my latest site design is turning out.
